Wood-ear Mushrooms and Moss
In this experiment I focused on weaving the ripples and colours of woodear mushrooms and the surrounding moss. I started by painting my ramie warp black and grey to create a houndstooth colour and weave. I then used alternating S and Z high twist weft threads to create a ripple and pleat affect.
A hightwist houndstooth experiment with alternating s and z twist creating a ripple movement over the woven piece that obscures the pattern.
