This level entitled, The Mushroom Museum gives the player a chance to explore an abandoned museum at night through the lens of a flashlight the player moves around which appears as a glowing scope. This dims their visibility of the rest of the museum, allowing in its place for mushrooms and intruders to rearrange exhibitions and paintings. The player is tasked the duty of protecting the museum through the night from thieves. Once the end of the night is reached, the player receives a gift for their mushroom forest.

A long view of the proposal for the Mushroom Museum.

A sketch of the proposed museum
This scene from a world in Hohokum bears similarities to how I want to create my scope of view for the player. In this level the player explores a maze with a lost archeologist. The archeologist holds a lamp which guides you through the level and allows you to view the delicate golden statues which when bumped into smashes in to dust. The bats you meet through out the cave cause the light in his torch to be extinguished throwing the player into pitch blackness. Its impressive how the game developers use shadow and sound to give the player a feeling of where they are in the cave when the light is out. Often, you can feel your way through the cave passages only by feeling without the lamp.

The sounds of footsteps on a rug
Above is a sketch of The Mushroom Museum with important objects for the player to interact with. The statue would grow mushrooms, the rug triggers a sound effect, the paintings are able to be shifted on the wall and the tapestry can be lifted to reveal even more mushrooms. The museum will be seen through a scope of light that the player will move around as they explore the environment and world. As the player moves around, the level will change and shift behind them.
