The Mushroom Forest, looking up into massive mushroom trees. When designing my mushroom forest the perspective of looking up into the mushroom gills became part of my design. Part of the magical parts of mushrooms are the gills that are underneath the cap. We being so much bigger than mushrooms usually only see the mushroom cap unless they are growing on the trunks of trees. And so to see mushrooms from another perspective is magical.

Ideally this part of the level would show what it would be like to look up in to a forest of mushrooms with the perspective looking much like this picture I took of a mushroom I foraged. This level would be a separate option from The Mushroom Forest, this being a place for contemplation. Much like meditation features in Sky and Abzu both by "That Game Company" it would be a spot to relax with nothing to worry about or plan for.

In this section I have included weaving samples that I would have used to visualize my mushroom gill lamps. I was continuing to sample different kinds of pleats. Ones that are more defined or tighter while some are looser and instead bigger. Hopefully in this level the viewer can see the effect I intended to originally create of someone looking up into the gills of a mushroom.
